STAFFORDSHIRE TABLEWARE (ROMANIA)
The history of Staffordshire Tableware
began in 1915 with Keele Potteries. It improved the once fired process for
English ironstone earthenware. By 1985 it was the largest producer of mugs
in the world as well as the largest independent producer of dinnerware in
Europe. In 2001 Staffordshire Tableware Worldwide Ltd. acquired 100% of
the equipment and intellectual rights of the Company.
The intellectual rights include sales and marketing information, designs
(both shapes and images) as well as proprietary know-how and patents of
the Company. Such unique know-how includes the red dipping process, through
which we manufacture the red/white Nescafe mugs. We do not know of any other
manufacture that can produce red mugs with our quality and consistency.
Staffordshire Tableware sells its own yearly collection through an inherited
and enhanced network of agents and distributors, currently throughout Europe
Another important business segment for Staffordshire Tableware is the sale
of promotional items to very large brands such as Nescafe, Nesquick, Manchester
United, Cadbury chocolates, etc. Typically, such orders are used in promotional
campaigns and offered as rewards for brand loyalty or bulk purchases.
The Company now has a capacity of 18 millions mugs/year. It has a wide range
of cups/mugs/saucers as well as a very wide choice of colours and decorations
both for the department stores as well as for the promotional markets.
Staffordshire Tableware was the first company in the world to achieve registration
to the ISO 9001 quality management system along with the BS 6748 metal release
